TURNING SPORTING CLAYS INTO HOPE

Beyond Targets Events (BTE) began as a simple idea.
It started with two people, a sport they loved, and a quiet desire to give back.
Those two people are Jing and Sidney Collum.
They are life partners, business partners, and co-owners of SidNetworks, a local IT company serving the technology needs of small businesses across East Texas. SidNetworks began small, built on service, trust, and relationships that mattered.
As the company grew, Jing and Sidney came to understand something important: success was not something to simply hold onto. It only mattered if it could be used to help others. Giving back was never meant to be a gesture. It became a responsibility.
From that purpose, BTE was born — a way to turn their love for sporting clays into HOPE for the community.

For Jing, this mission is deeply personal. Years ago, she walked through her own season of crisis, uncertainty, and rebuilding. She knows what it means to survive when the ground disappears beneath your feet. She also knows what it means to be lifted by compassion, safety, and hope at exactly the right moment.
What started as a benefit shoot became something more. A way to turn participation into purpose, competition into connection, and generosity into tangible change. Every target shattered became a chance for someone to rebuild. Every shell reloaded - that was hope. Each one represented a step forward for a life being rebuilt.
Because of you, hope keeps growing. And together, we keep building what hope asked of us.
THE IMPACT
In 2025, together with our sponsors, shooters, volunteers, and community partners, we raised $26,253 in net proceeds for the East Texas Crisis Center.
This isn't just a number.
It's 26 months of groceries for a family of 4.
It's a full year of rent for a survivor and her children.
It's nearly 19 months of childcare for 2 children, giving a single mother the chance to work, breathe, and rebuild.
This is why we say we are powered by HOPE.
HOPE means Heal. Overcome. Persevere. Evolve.
It is not a slogan.
It is a process.
One that continues long after the last shot is fired.
